The root chakra has to do with our ability to survive - in other words, how we cope with our surroundings and how we manage to utilise the given physical conditions and opportunities that are ahead of us. It is strongly linked to our primal instincts, i.e. how to provide shelter, a roof over our heads, food in our mouths, and ensure that the species survives and produces new generations.
(We know that humans can survive in quite extreme conditions and are more adaptable than
than any other living being.)
When a chakra is "dead" or unbalanced, pathological conditions will often arise in the parts of the body or
body or psyche that are directly related to that chakra. Within several healing
systems tend to be based on the colour attributions of this chakra, and in the case of the
the root chakra, it will primarily be red. But when a chakra is unbalanced, it can be
both because it has too little energy and/or because it has too much energy, in which case you can't give
the same treatment. If the pathological condition has arisen due to too much (stressed) energy,
the most effective treatment may be to start with the "opposite" colour.
(This is not exactly the same as colour technical contrast colour. In relation to red, which is a
warm colour, the opposite colour will be blue, which is a cold colour). For example, you don't cure high
blood pressure with red! Nor will red work as an antipyretic.
When it comes to using stones in connection with chakra healing, you will also find that some stones
stones have very special properties that go far beyond what you would normally associate with their colour
the colour they possess; - but this is due to the particular vibrational level of the different stones/crystals.
The absolute most effective stone for healing urinary tract disorders is green jade (Recommended!!)
(Combined with horsetail, it will have double the effect).
Conditions that absolutely should not be treated with red: high blood pressure, fever, inflammation, swelling,
cancer, hyperactivity, aggression.
Conditions that can be treated with red: lack of self-confidence, inferiority complex, lack of
complex, lack of sexual energy/desire, impotence, frigidity, menstrual cramps, infertility,
low blood pressure, poor blood circulation, anaemia, suicidal thoughts, inability to achieve goals you have
goals.
Conditions that can be treated with black: feeling of being "spaced out", problems with
returning to "normal" everyday life after strong emotional experiences.
Relevant stones for the root chakra :
Red Garnet
This stone is in every way an invigorating stone! It should preferably be worn on the body
the belt, but can of course be worn in jewellery periodically elsewhere on the body. It has the ability to prevent the formation of stones in the body and is an excellent remedy for healing bladder stones.
The chakras are interconnected and often relate specifically to another chakra.
In the case of the root chakra and the garnet, you will see a connection with the ajna chakra, the 6th chakra.
Placing a garnet on the third eye, for example, will facilitate the process of entering and remembering previous lives/incarnations.
It is also especially recommended for those who need to strengthen their self-respect and/or increase their courage.
Black obsidian
If you are about to enter a period of sexual abstinence, it can be practical to wear a black obsidian - it has a reputation for reducing sexual desire.
But you might not want to wear it too much, because it also has a reputation for attracting
other people's "darkness", and in that sense we may each have more than enough of our
own darkness. But the stone is also said to have a strong cleansing effect on toxins (pollution
products) that may have accumulated in the liver or spleen (and will thus also act as an aggression suppressant). Place a large obsidian over the liver (or spleen) for about half an hour. Make sure
that you clean the stone properly afterwards before using it again!
Apache tear is also an obsidian in a more raw and unpolished version. Joy Gardner writes in her book
"Colour and crystals", among other things, the following: "I call the apache tear the womb stone. Obsidian represents the darkness of the womb - it helps women to have a positive relationship with their own abdomen. The woman can place an obsidian over her abdomen while lying on her back, and then
visualise white moonlight streaming into the obsidian from the dark night sky, so that it radiates through the entire abdomen and charges it with this dark power. This is important, because associations between darkness and negativity are all too common."
Smoke quartz
This is also a very good grounding stone. If you are really "spaced out", it can help to
to lie down for a while with a smoky quartz placed at each heel and the tip pointing up towards your toes.
(It has also been used as a talisman and lucky stone for centuries!)
